Established in 2016 by the Ministry of Education, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai is located at Kutelabhata, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. It launched its first academic session in July 2016, offering B.Tech. programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). The institute expanded to include M.Tech. and PhD programs in these disciplines, along with Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Led by founding director Prof. Rajat Moona since 2017, IIT Bhilai aims to drive technological advancements and promote innovation, bridging academia with industry.
